(ICO joint commission with Scottish and Swedish Chamber Orchestras)

Mozart Symphony No.40 in G minor

Experience the gorgeous, ethereal, and much-loved Vaughan Williams’ masterpiece inspired by Thomas Tallis’ ancient psalm. Sway and feel the joy of Wallen’s imaginative Dances for Orchestra drawn loosely from dance forms including the sarabande and waltz. Enjoy the magic of the colourful foot-tapping rhythms – a real treat. Emotions run high in Mozart’s startling Symphony No. 40, adored by audiences. Its themes of resignation, despair, dejection, and sorrow will wrench your heart.

"A virtuoso technique married to a musical mind that won’t take anything for granted. Zehetmair seems to find answers where other musicians don’t even see questions"

Andrew McGregor, BBC Radio 3
