Steinway & Sons Piano Restoration

Our new Steinway & Sons piano, gifted by John Leech, is 126 years old - and alive with history.

First shipped from Germany to the Shamrock Lodge Hotel in Athlone, it later found a home at Abbey House, where its sound was shared by generations: from children taking their first lessons to artists like Christy Moore and Count John McCormack.

Now, thanks to the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport and a stunning restoration by Klavier & Flügel Galerie Maiwald this remarkable instrument begins its next chapter - with us.
