Carnival Of The Animals

Experience a wild menagerie of music as we perform Saint-Saëns’ much loved Carnival of the Animals. In this fun-filled family concert, we bring the various animals to life, with the help of Soo-Jung Ann, Fiachra Garvey and Richie Hayes. Each of Saint-Saëns’ movements represents a different animal – a lion, donkey, and elephant, as well as fossils, an aquarium, an aviary, and his little joke – pianists, possibly the most dangerous animals of all! Music and animal-lovers of all ages are in for a fantastical musical treat - Sunday 7 April (a joint collaboration with University Concert Hall - celebrating 30 years).

Peter & The Wolf - West Wicklow Festival

Join narrator Jos Vantyler and a brilliant ICO quintet for the timeless tale of Peter and his adventures with a crafty wolf. Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf is one of the best-loved pieces of classical music for young listeners.. Another one for all the family on Sunday 19 May @11am.

Cellissimo - Music for Galway

French cellist Camille Thomas will enchant audiences with her flawless technique and deeply passionate playing. She ignites a concerto by the visionary composer CPE Bach and performs gems by French composer August Franchomme, whose Stradivarius cello she has inherited. As always Katherine Hunka and ICO will thrill with favourites by Grieg and Sibelius on Sunday 19 May @8pm.

Mozart, Bach & Tchaikovsky

German Violinist Carolin Widmann dazzles in three timeless masterworks in Tallaght, Limerick, Newport Co. Mayo, and Wexford from the 10-13 April. You cannot but love Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nactmusik, an all time favourite.. Be amazed by J.S. Bach’s A minor Violin Concerto full of warm, inventive and magical melodies. Finally, the streets of Florence will seduce you as you delve into magic that inspired Tchaikovsky’s sparkling Souvenir de Florence.

Trumpet sounds

Norwegian Trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth has the gift of turning the simplest, most ordinary music into gold! Don’t miss her blowing her own trumpet on 9 and 10 May in Limerick and Dublin as she meanders through Wales, Norway, Poland, Czechoslovakia as far as South America.
