Mozart Prince of Music

Past Present Future

Residency in Germany

Heidelberger Frühling – Year 1 of a 3-Year Irish Chamber Orchestra Residency. The finest music festival in Baden-Württemberg! 1916 – REVOLUTION & RHETORIC

The Irish Chamber Orchestra dedicates this concert to the 1916 Easter Rising commemorative celebrations with an emphasis on remembrance. Now in his 81st year, renowned actor Des Keogh explores this period of Irish history presenting a nostalgic pot-pourri of music, song and poetry.

MENDELSSOHN, WIDMANN & WEBER

This concert celebrates the beginning of a three-year collaboration with one of the world’s up-and-coming pianists, Russian-born Igor Levit. The first leg of the ICO’s residency in Heidelberg (April 2016) sees the orchestra performing Mendelssohn and Mozart piano concerti with Levit.
